Common Questions

Answers to the things people ask most.

Why do achievements get locked in the first place?
Minecraft Bedrock sets hidden flags inside your world's level.dat file whenever you enter Creative mode or turn on cheats. Once those flags are set, the game stops awarding achievements — even if you switch back to Survival. Achievement Reviver clears those flags and locks the game mode to Survival so you can start earning again.
Will this break my world or corrupt any of my builds?
No. The tool only modifies five specific settings in your world's header file (level.dat). Your blocks, terrain, inventory, coordinates, and everything else are completely untouched. The chunk database isn't even opened.
Does my world file get uploaded to a server?
Never. This is a fully static web app — there's no backend. All the reading, patching, and repackaging happens in your browser's memory. Your world never leaves your computer.
How do I export a .mcworld file from Minecraft on PC?
Open Minecraft Bedrock and go to the Play screen. Click the Edit (pencil) icon next to your world, scroll to the bottom of the settings on the right, and click Export World. Save the file somewhere easy to find, then drop it here.
Where do I find my level.dat file directly on Windows?
Your Bedrock worlds are stored at:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\games\com.mojang\minecraftWorlds

Each world has its own folder. The level.dat is inside it. For the newer GDK launcher:
%APPDATA%\Minecraft Bedrock\Users\<User>\games\com.mojang\minecraftWorlds
